Biomass Energy

Dr. Ir. Dijan Supramono, M.Sc.

Thermal energy can be obtained from the combustion of fuel derived from biomass in the form of lignocellulosic and triglycerides. The fuel can be solid phase, liquid phase and gas phase. Research on the manufacture of solid fuels includes the role of minerals in biomass as catalysts as well as forming ash that can melt in combustion chambers. Research on the manufacture of liquid fuel includes catalyst selection, reactor type selection, oil type effects. Research on the manufacture of gaseous fuels includes the selection of reaction conditions, biomass type effects, reaction temperatures.
